Dénia Main Festivities 2026 (Santíssima Sang)

The Dénia Main Festivities in honour of the Santíssima Sang are held from Friday 3 to Sunday 12 July 2026. They are the city’s great patron-saint celebration: ten days with Bous a la Mar every afternoon at the port, processions, mascletà, free concerts, a parade of floats and a closing pyrotechnic show. The religious events (the novena) begin earlier, on 28 June.

🐂 Bous a la Mar: schedule

The star event takes place from Saturday 4 to Friday 10 July, every day:

• 19:00 – 19:30 — Running of the bulls along Calle Marqués de Campo
• 19:30 – 21:00 — Bous a la Mar in the port enclosure

Preliminary events (religious)

• Sunday 28 June · 20:00 — Holy mass in memory of Fray Pedro Esteve · 21:00 — Transfer of the image of the Santíssima Sang from the Monastery to the parish
• From 29 June to 7 July · 19:45 — Novena to the Santíssima Sang and medal draw · 20:00 — Holy mass (Saturdays and Sundays, 20:30)

Practical information

• Bous a la Mar: the best spot to watch them is the grandstand of the port enclosure; arrive early because it fills up. Free admission.
• Getting there: via the AP-7 (exit 62 from Alicante, 63 from Valencia) and the N-332; by TRAM (line 9 from Benidorm) to Dénia station, next to the centre.
• Accommodation: book ahead — during the Main Festivities occupancy soars.
• Tip: July gets hot; bring water, a cap and comfortable shoes for the long days.
