Moors and Christians of Moraira 2026

The Moors and Christians of Moraira are held from Friday 5 to Sunday 14 June 2026. Its hallmark is the Moorish landing on l’Ampolla beach, next to the 18th-century castle: ten days of harquebus fire, embassies, Moorish and Christian comparsas and a spectacular closing gala parade. As a complement, an Andalusian medieval market is set up from 19 to 21 June.

Practical information

• Landing and battles: the most spectacular events are the Moorish landing (Friday 12 at night) and the Christian reconquest (Saturday 13), both next to the castle and l’Ampolla beach.
• Getting there: from the AP-7 (exit 63) via the CV-743/CV-745 to Moraira.
• Tip: the beach fills up for the landing; arrive early.
